What is UV light installation?
The coil is wet whenever the AC runs, which is most of the year in Texas. UV-C light at 254 nm damages the DNA of microorganisms on surfaces it shines on continuously.
We choose a lamp sized to your coil, mount it where it covers the coil face and pan, wire it safely to the air handler, and add a viewing port so you can confirm it is working. UV works best on a clean coil, so we often install it after a coil cleaning.
UV Light Installation is part of our indoor air quality services. Many customers book it together with ac coil cleaning.

Frequently asked questions
Is UV light safe?
The lamp is inside the air handler; never look at it directly. Units should switch off when the panel is opened.
Does UV replace duct cleaning?
No. It keeps the coil clean but does not remove dust in ducts.
Does UV produce ozone?
Choose lamps rated ozone-free for occupied homes; we install ozone-free models.
