Quick answer

Should I sanitize my air ducts after cleaning?

Sanitizing is useful when there is mold, rodent contamination, smoke or strong odors, or after illness or water damage. It only works on clean surfaces, so it is always done after mechanical cleaning — never instead of it. We use only products registered with the EPA for HVAC use and apply them with your approval.

Overview

What is HVAC sanitizing & disinfecting?

Antimicrobials cannot penetrate dust, so spraying a dirty system does little. After cleaning, a fogged or sprayed treatment reaches the duct surfaces and coil area.

We explain the product, its label use and any re-entry time, then apply it throughout the cleaned system. For persistent odors we combine it with deodorizing treatment.

HVAC Sanitizing & Disinfecting is part of our hvac cleaning services. Many customers book it together with mold in air ducts removal.
