Quick answer

How do I know if I have mold in my HVAC system?

Warning signs are a musty smell when the AC starts, dark spotting on vents or ceilings around registers, condensation at vents, and symptoms that improve when you leave home. An inspection confirms it with camera footage of the ducts and air handler, moisture readings and, if needed, air or surface samples.

Overview

What is mold inspection?

In humid Texas homes, mold usually starts where moisture and dust meet — the coil, drain pan, plenum and register boots. Finding the moisture source is as important as finding the mold.

We inspect the air handler, coil area, ducts and registers, take moisture readings, document everything with photos, and recommend the right next step: cleaning, remediation, or fixing a leak.

Mold Inspection is part of our indoor air quality services. Many customers book it together with mold remediation.
