What is return vent cleaning?
A return grille that is coated in dust or a filter box packed with lint reduces the amount of air your system can pull in. That starves the blower, raises run times and can cause coil freeze-ups. Large central returns in hallways and ceiling returns in two-story homes are the worst offenders.
We clean the grille and frame, vacuum the filter box, clean the return duct back to the air handler under negative pressure, check the filter size and fit, and seal gaps where unfiltered air is bypassing the filter.
Return Vent Cleaning is part of our air duct cleaning services. Many customers book it together with air duct cleaning.

Frequently asked questions
Is return cleaning included in duct cleaning?
Yes. Every full duct cleaning we do includes all returns.
Why does my filter get dirty so fast?
Leaks around the filter frame, pets or a dirty return duct can load filters quickly. We check for bypass gaps.
Should I close some returns?
No. Closing returns restricts airflow and can damage the system.
