Overview

What is dryer vent inspection?

Many dryer vent problems are invisible: a joint separated inside a wall, a run that is too long for the dryer, or a roof cap clogged with lint. An inspection shows exactly what is happening before you pay for repairs.

We use a vent camera, an anemometer at the exterior, and a visual check of the transition and cap, then compare the run to the dryer manufacturer limits and typical code length limits.

Dryer Vent Inspection is part of our dryer vent services. Many customers book it together with dryer vent cleaning.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Every cleaning includes a basic inspection and airflow reading.

Many codes allow about 35 feet of 4-inch duct, minus length for each bend. Always check your dryer manufacturer limits.

Usually only visually. A vent camera inspection shows what is inside the walls.
