Quick answer

Is blown-in insulation better than batts?

For attics, blown-in insulation fills irregular spaces and covers joists evenly, which reduces gaps that batts often leave. Most homes can be brought to R-38 or more in a few hours, typically for $1,200–$2,500.

Overview

What is blow-in insulation?

Batts are hard to fit around wiring, plumbing and HVAC supports in older attics, leaving gaps that let heat through. Loose-fill insulation settles into those gaps.

We prepare the attic, install soffit baffles, seal leaks, protect recessed lights and HVAC equipment, and blow insulation to an even depth with markers.

Blow-In Insulation is part of our insulation & energy services. Many customers book it together with attic insulation.
